About Library Cards

New Library Cards are issued 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Photo ID and proof of residency will be required.

Persons 18 years of age and older who reside within the city limits of Macon, MO are eligible for a Library Card free of charge. Children under 18 may use a parent or guardian’s card.

Persons who own property within the city limits of Macon are also eligible for free a Library Card.

Other individuals over 18 may obtain an annual Library Card for $30, in lieu of local property taxes.
