Macon Public Library's J. Parker Stokes Genealogy Room is located in the basement.  Due to many hours of volunteer service, our collection is rich in local history and records. 

You can come browse:

• Old Newspapers on microfilm
• Use the Cemetery Maps and Records
• Search Obituaries
• Read Family Histories

You will need to bring plenty of dimes for the microfilm reader and photocopier.
